within education of pre-school children. The article highlights the St. Nicholas Party prepared by future prospective
teachers – the students of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava – along with selected
scenes from theatre performances (chemistry-themed plays) put on stage by teachers and students of the Department of
Chemistry as well as the Science and Technology Centre in Ostrava, as examples.
