Anotace: The aim of this study was to evaluate the importance of taking into account the age and sex of the donkeys while assessing individual haematological and biochemical variables. Material used for the study were blood samples collected from 112 clinically healthy donkeys (37 males and 75 females) aged from 05 to 30 years old. Selected haematological and biochemical variables were examined and the influence of sex and age was analyzed by multivariate analysis. Significant differences were found in some of biochemical and haematological variables between groups. The results of this study can be useful for appropriate clinical interpretation of laboratory results in donkeys.
