Anotace: This article explores how Czech women navigate polyamory, a relationship style in which loving multiple partners is acceptable. It examines how women in these relationships understand their experiences and how polyamory shapes their self-identities. It also explores the impact of Western societal expectations about relationships and female sexuality on these women. Using in-depth interviews, the paper explores women’s experiences of polyamory, the extent to which polyamory and female sexuality are stigmatised within these relationships, and how women cope with this. The analysis reveals how women construct their identities within polyamory and navigate social pressures. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of polyamory, particularly how women navigate its social complexities and emerging social acceptance. It opens up discussions about alternative relationship structures and challenges traditional views of female sexuality.
