Anotace: The text focuses on the topic of the Battle of the White Mountain in Czech historiography. The topic of the White Mountain has been often discussed in Czech historiography and has also been popular in public. My point of view is the interaction between national traditions, new facts, social changes and historians. My intention is not to question the interpretations that have been made until today, but to understand them in the context of time of their origin.
