Anotace: This paper presents a method for phase noise impact compensation in 60 GHz OFDM receivers and provides the results of performance evaluation using OFDM PHY parameters defined in the IEEE 802.11ay standard. It is shown that the phase noise in 60 GHz band has a critical impact on the OFDM performance for high data rate transmission employing high order modulation constellations. The proposed compensation method combines time domain algorithm predicting the linear average phase trend on the OFDM symbol duration and estimation in frequency domain of phase noise spectrum realization and convolution with correction filter response. Both algorithms use Maximum A Posteriori Probability (MAP) estimation approach to find the optimal solution and are applied successively. The proposed algorithms have moderate implementation complexity which is especially important for high speed 11ay hardware modem architecture. The performance of the proposed algorithms is evaluated in the frequency flat and frequency selective channels with phase noise model adopted in the IEEE 802.11ay.
