Anotace: The article is an approach to a temporary understanding of inspiration as a theological key concept. Starting with the difficulties of a theology of inspiration, the contribution follows three main questions: 1. How can the Holy Scriptures be understood as an inspired document of revelation? 2. How can the conviction of faith in the inspired Word of God be plausibly expressed? And finally, 3. How can the doctrine of inspiration be understood in the horizon of revelation? The contribution traces back to the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965) and suggests, according to phenomenological thinking, inspiration as a challenging hyperphenonemon that inspires a new way of thinking the word of God.
