Anotace:
Theoretically and experimentally verified
conditions of the formation of chunky graphite
in spheroidal graphite cast iron (GJS) are
described in the contribution. Influence of
chemical composition, the rate of solidification
and metallurgical processing of GJS on
occurrence of chunky graphite has been
verified on test castings with high module.
Using the solidification simulation the
occurrence of porosity, of chunky graphite
and the reduction of mechanical proper ties
in the heat axis of the casting were predicted.
Worsened microstructural and mechanical
proper ties in the critical points of the test
casting were verified with done mechanical
tests and detailed microscopic analysis.
