Časopis Il Rinnovamento a jeho význam v rámci modernistického hnutí v Itálii

Anotace: Paper deals with Italian modernist movement within the Catholic Church as it was reported in the Rinnovamento magazine. The aim is also to examine how the magazine influenced this movement. After an introductory part the reasons of the magazine’s origin is explained and is completed with the presentation of its program declaration. Then the attention is focused on the modernist movement. Firstly the word “modernism” is explained through its different interpretations. After that the main thematic areas are presented. These areas were considered to be the basis of so called “modernist teaching” fought by the Author- ities of the Catholic Church. The conflict with religious authority is described in the next part. Rinnovamento’s influence on the modernist movement is evaluated in the final part. The magazine is an important source of information for studying this critical moment of the history of the Catholic Church.
