The text provides an overview of the use
of 3D printing in the foundr y industry.
The introduction describes the basic division
of additive technologies and briefly explains
their principle. The main part of the text
describes the application of 3D printed
patterns in foundries casting in sand moulds
and in precision casting foundries (investment
casting). The use in practice is documented
on specific projects.
