Anotace:
The contribution deals with the origin
of the foundry exper ts group, which accepted
a working title the N-team. It is aimed at
working out an electronic catalogue of defects
of aluminium alloys castings, which contains
a very extensive classification of the most
common defects and a detailed analysis
for individual casting defects—definitions,
formation causes and remedies to remove
the root cause. All the catalogue content
is suppor ted by a rich photographic
documentation and other illustrative materials.
More sophisticated methods not only for
detection of defects, e.g. X-ray, thermal
camera or simulation software are used too.
