Anotace:
Presented article describes the course of production of
austenitic steel by a triplex process which is divided into
three units for the reason of economy and excellent resulting
material properties of steel. Manufacture of steel
is realized by melting of high quality solid charge with
a subsequent slagless tapping into the refining ladle. The
tapped crude steel is in the ladle furnace alloyed with
minimal melting loss to the desired chemical composition
before following treatment on the SS-VOD device.
The prealloyed steel is refined in the SS-VOD (Strong
Stirring-Vacuum Oxygen Decarburisation) device which
reduces the carbon content, dissolved gases and other
undesirable elements.
