Anotace:
The derivational suffix -er belongs to the most productive suffixes of the contemporary general
and commercial languages. The -er derivatives are investigated from the point of view of word
formation and semantics and compared with their Czech equivalents. From the comparison
follows a great variety of Czech derivational suffixes, asymmetry in the use of foreign words as
well as the tendency of the Czech language to an explicit and verbal expressions.
