Anotace: The purpose of the study was to investigate the characteristics of human resource information systems (HRIS) that influence the success of the same. Findings led to identify the important characteristics of HRIS that influence its success in medium-sized firms in a developing country, Sri Lanka. The research adds value to the existing literature on antecedents and outcomes of HRIS in medium-sized firms.
