Anotace:
A part of the philological work of the Grimm brothers was also a collection of German folk
tales, which they first published in two volumes in years 1812 and 1815 and called Kinderund
Hausmärchen. They reproduced the collection gradually, its final version comes from
1857. A frequent theme of its thales is a tense relationship between contrasting beings or
animals. The characteristic feature of the tales is a prosimetre. The Grimms use magical
numbers of three and seven. They also apply introductory and conclusive fairy tale formulas
in their folk tales.
