Anotace:
This paper deals with the analysis of
reoxidation processes for the casting mainly
of aluminum alloys by using the QuikCAST
numerical simulation program. The aim is to
visualize and clarify what phenomena is taking
place during filling the gating system and
mould cavity with the help of new theoretical
knowledge and numerical simulation. The aim
of the paper is also to clarify the emergence
of the so called bifilms and describe their
impact on the resulting casting quality.
